Ken Cornish, Firearms Safety Course Instructor

Ken Cornish

Ken is a Federally Certified Master Instructor and Examiner for the Canadian Firearms Safety Course & Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course as well as a Federally Certified Firearms Verifier. He is also a Provincially Certified CORE Examiner. He has provided the safety course for over 23 years and has a lifetime of experience with firearms as a hunter and target shooter. Ken has spent a 33 year career in Corrections including working at the Federal Penitentiary in New Westminster and the provincial institute known as “Oakalla Prison Farm” in Burnaby. His duties at Fraser Regional Correctional Centre in Maple Ridge included the responsibility for the armoury and weapons training until firearms were fazed out of Corrections in the late 90's. Ken has just become a member of SASS and is enjoying the sport of “Cowboy Shooting” (no he doesn't shoot cowboys...)

Brandy Drummond

Brandy is a Federally Certified Instructor and Examiner for the Canadian Firearms Safety Course & Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course. She has been actively involved in the shooting sport since she was 14 years old when her father placed a fifty calibre black powder rifle in her hands and showed her how to load it. Since receiving her certification as a safety course instructor 6 years ago, she has been providing courses and challenges with her father and business partner Ken. If you ask her nice, she'll even give you tips on how to throw a tomahawk!
